Roswell Police Plans National Night Out

National Night Out will be held Tuesday Aug. 6 at Roswell City Hall.

The Roswell Police Department will hold its annual National Night Out event in August.

The date is set for Tuesday Aug. 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Roswell City Hall

The event will have free food and drinks, police vehicles and fire equipment for residents and children to explore, SWAT and K-9 demonstrations and more.

About 800 people attended last years' event and the department is expecting more. 

National Night Out's goal is to "heighten crime-prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs, and most importantly, send a message that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back," according to the department's news release.
