Roswell Police to Roll Out New Sedans
A line of Chevrolet Caprice vehicles will be replacing phased-out Ford Crown Victorias in the coming months.
Shortly after the first of the year, some of the patrol cars used by the Roswell Police Department will look different.
Because the Ford Crown Victoria line preferred by many public safety agencies is being discontinued, another model was chosen for purchases of new vehicles.
According to a post on the Roswell PD Facebook page, the new cars will be from the Chevrolet Caprice line, after test-driving by officers:
"Right now, the cars are marked with updated Roswell Police lettering and will be out on patrol in the coming weeks as the rest of the police equipment, including lights, siren and a prisoner cage, are installed."
