Roswell Reports First Homicide of 2012

The Roswell Police Department is investigating the city’s first homicide of the year, the result of a double shooting at an apartment complex on Old Holcomb Bridge Way.

Roswell Police spokesman Lt. James McGee said via email that police were called to the Concepts 21 Apartment Complex at 12:09 a.m. Sunday after a report of shots fired.

When police arrived at 297 Old Holcomb Bridge Way, they found two people shot, one a man who was shot in the neck and later died at North Fulton Hospital.

Police say that the man was shot after answering a knock at the door.

A second person was grazed on the back and was treated and released at Atlanta Medical Center.

McGee described the suspect as “medium build wearing a back hoody and dark clothing.”
