Roswell To Host Citizens Police Academy
The free Citizen's Police Academy will start Thursday, Sept. 4 and is open to Roswell residents and business owners.
The Roswell Police Department is inviting its residents and business owners to participate in its upcoming Citizen's Police Academy.
The free sessions will start on Thursday, Sept. 4 and will be held each Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Graduation will be held on Nov. 6.
Classes will be held at the Roswell/Alpharetta Public Safety Training Center located at 11565 Maxwell Road in Alpharetta.

The academy is an educational and informative initiative that allows residents to learn about the issues that affect law enforcement efforts in our city, and it explains how you can develop a partnership with our police department.
During the 10‐week academy, students will become familiar with the aspects of the Roswell Police Department. Students will receive first‐hand knowledge of police operations, K9 unit, SWAT team, D.U.I. enforcement, 911 Communications Center, operations of the Detention Center and how criminal cases are investigated.

The agency is now accepting applications, but space is limited.
Applicants must be 21 years or older, pass a background check and must be a Roswell resident or business owner.
Applications are available at the Roswell Police Department between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or on the city's website.
