Suspect Uses Air Filter as Cover Up in Bank Robbery

The suspect used an air filter to conceal his face during the bank robbery at Best Bank in Kroger store located in South Forsyth County.

Authorities are looking for a man suspected of robbing a bank in South Forsyth County Monday morning after he approached a bank employee and asked for the money in the vault, officials said in a news release. 

“He did not produce or threaten to use a weapon during the robbery,” said Investigator Matt Runion with the Criminal Investigations Division.

The robbery occurred around 10:10 a.m. at Best Bank located inside of the Kroger at 2325 Bethelview Road. The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

He is described as a Hispanic man with a husky build, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, has noticeable acne scars and speaks with no accent. He was last seen wearing a blue dress shirt, dark jeans and a yellow or orange jacket with a stripe going down the right side of the jacket.

The suspect used an air filter to conceal his face and was wearing gloves and carrying a toolbox, according to Investigator Runion.

He was last seen walking towards the intersection of Bethelview Road and Canton Highway and is believed to have left the scene in a vehicle.
