City Council to Vote on Improvements to MARTA Stops

The Roswell City Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in council chambers on the second floor of city hall.

The Roswell City Council will convene in council chambers at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss and vote on several agenda items, including the following:

  • Two separate agenda items will ask the council to approve signing contracts to make improvements to Roswell's MARTA bus stops. A phase of the sidewalk connectivity project will cost the city $133,302.50 of designated MARTA Offset funds. The "Finish the Connection" project is a multi-modal project that will provide sidewalks, crosswalks, signals, reconstruction and relocation of a MARTA stop near Georgia 400. It will use $336,170 of designated funds.
  • Subsequent to its redevelopment strategy, the council will consider amending an ordinance regarding used car establishments, which will require them to be "on a separate lot of record."
  • A work session to discuss the 2030 Comprehensive Plan will follow the regular meeting.
