City to Hold Public Information Meeting on New Roundabout

Another roundabout in Roswell is planned for the intersection at Houze and Hembree roads.

Roundabouts can evoke both fear and admiration, depending upon who you ask. Whatever they mean to you, the city of Roswell wants to know.

Jointly with the Georgia Department of Transportation, the city will hold a public information meeting on the new roundabout planned for the Houze and Hembree roads intersection on March 29.

The roundabout - Roswell's second to follow the first one built at the Grimes Bridge Road, Norcross Street and Warsaw Road intersection last year - is expected to cost $1.6 million.

The public meeting at the end of March will provide the local community with information about the project, which is expected to include a multi-use trail along Hembree Road.

The meeting will be held Thursday, March 29 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at .

For those who can't attend, project displays and plans from the meeting will be available for review for ten days after the public information open house in Suite 235 at located at 38 Hill Street, Roswell.  

Comments can be also made via the Georgia DOT website. All comments will be made a part of the public record and will be available for public review at city hall, as well as the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Environment Services, 600 West Peachtree Street NW, 16th Floor, Atlanta.
