Council Candidates Go Casual at Roswell Restaurant

Some Roswell City Council candidates mingled with supporters and citizens during a political mixer Tuesday night at INC Authentico Restaurant.

INC Authentico Restaurant and Post 2 council candidate Adam Braund played host to Roswell City Council candidates, who mingled with interested citizens on Tuesday night.  Each attending candidate was given a brief time with the microphone, but spent most of his or her time talking casually with supporters and curious citizens in the historic district restaurant's back meeting room.

"I much prefer this kind of a thing," said Thomas Shelton, vying for the Post 1 council seat against Mike Nyden and incumbent Rich Dippolito. "Let's have a chat."

The event began at 7:30 p.m. and taking the microphone about 8:15 were Post 1 candidate Shelton, Post 2 candidates Salma Ahmed, Braund, Michael Martin and Becky Wynn. Post 3 challenger Craig Voth also spoke.

At the height of the event, about 50 people were in attendance. Others stopped by throughout the night.
