Fulton County Chairman John H. Eaves will attend a holiday reception at the White House on Friday, an announcement said. The Chairman received the invitation on behalf of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Eaves has been a guest of the White House before and in May of this year was on hand to greet the President at his alma mater, Morehouse College, when President Obama gave the commencement address. The Chairman has also worked closely with members of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs participating in press conferences with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Secretary of Agriculture Thomas Vilsack in support of the Affordable Care Act.

“I am both pleased and honored to have been invited to the White House for the President’s holiday reception”,  said Eaves, in the media release. “I look forward to sharing with President Obama the great work that we are doing here in Fulton.”
