Roswell Remembers 9/11 with Ceremony

The City of Roswell invites you to join us for a very special event, Roswell Remembers 9/11, on Sept. 11, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Roswell City Hall. The City in conjunction with the Roswell American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Roswell Rotary Club will be hosting the event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States.

Roswell Remembers 9/11 will bring together firefighters, law enforcement, military, and civilian representatives to memorialize and commemorate the anniversary of this event. Distinguished guests, elected officials, and a wreath-laying accompanied by a color guard and bagpipers will highlight the service.

The service will be followed by a Remembrance Walk to the Warrior Service Center where a remembrance celebration will take place. The one-mile walk through historic Roswell to the Center will provide an opportunity for reflection and solidarity for the courage and sacrifice that has been and continues to be made on behalf our nation. The Remembrance Celebration, beginning at noon, will include an open house at the Center, lunch from the grill, static military displays, and children’s events.
