Fulton County Plans Seminars on New Hotel Health Regulations

The seminars will spell out what the new health and environmental regulations mean for county hotel and motel owners.

Hotel and motel owners across Fulton County will soon have another chance to learn more about new health regulations governing the tourist accommodation industry.

The county's Environmental Health Services Division will host two seminars to inform and clarify what the new rules mean to entrepreneurs in the industry.

The seminars will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the North Fulton Service Center in Sandy Springs and at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Alderedge Health Health Center in Atlanta.

The updated regulations clarify rules in areas such as such as inspections, permitting, sanitizing, toilet facilities, sewage disposal, construction layout and furnishings and food service.

The new regulations were recommended by the Georgia Department of Public Health and adopted by the Fulton County Commission.
