Rain barrel workshop on tap this week.

North Fulton residents are invited to a "make and take" rain barrel workshop presented by the Fulton County Department of Public Works and the city of Alpharetta.

Harvesting rain water is an excellent water source for lawns and plants, and participants will receive a 55-gallon rain barrel and ideas on how to install one.

Cost is $35, which includes the rain barrel and supplies. Space is limited so pre-registration is required by calling 678-297-6200.
