Fulton Offers Surplus Real Estate for Sealed Bids

Over the next several weeks, members of the public can submit sealed bids for eight properties currently owned by Fulton County.

Fulton County is selling off several surplus properties to the highest bidder over the next several weeks.

According to the county, the properties have been officially declared as surplus to the needs of the county and its agencies by the county's board of commissioners, which allows them to any interested buyers instead of other public entities only.

David Ricks, director of the general services department, said “We expect a great deal of interest in all eight properties.”

All eight of the properties are located in Fulton County and include both undeveloped parcels and sites that previously housed Fulton County facilities. Closest to Roswell, there are properties for sale in Alpharetta and Sandy Springs.

To submit a bid, interested buyers should visit the county online, download a bid package and submit a bid following the published guidelines. The inspection date for public viewing of each property can be found on the website as well along with all bidding instructions and documents required to complete and submit a sealed bid. The minimum bid is the appraised value.

The due date for bid submissions is Sept. 21 at 11 a.m.
