The goal of the Big Creek Parkway Project is to provide a new connection between the eastern and western parts of the City of Roswell and to relieve the high level of local traffic congestion along SR 140/Holcomb Bridge Road in the vicinity of SR 400. The proposed project will also improve safety and mobility by providing a multi-purpose path for pedestrians and bicyclists and improve emergency response times for police, fire and ambulance services.Β

Benefits of the project include better access for Roswell citizens to key locations in the project area, such as Big Creek Park and Greenway, Mimosa Elementary School, Roswell Neighborhood Senior Center, Atlanta Academy, key shopping locations and numerous offices, businesses and retail stores on both sides of the SR 400 corridor.

The conceptual designs being presented were created in alignment with community input received at an earlier public meeting and public comment period for the project.
