Gov. Deal Names Liz Hausmann to Criminal Justice Council

Gov. Nathan Deal has named Fulton County District 3 Commissioner Liz Hausmann to the board of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.  

Hausmann, who represents parts of Roswell on the commission, was sworn in during a Thursday ceremony at the State Capitol.

The council was established in 1981 to build consensus and unity among the state's diverse and interdependent, criminal justice system components and serves in an advisory capacity to the governor on issues impacting the criminal justice system.

“I look forward to serving in this new advisory role to the governor on behalf of the citizens of Fulton County and the State of Georgia,” Hausmann said in a press release from the county.

Hausmann is serving her first term on the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. She serves on numerous boards and commissions and was honored as the 2006 North Fulton Phenomenal Woman of the Year and the 2012 Pioneer Award from the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. She has two adult children and two grandchildren.
