Help Roswell Plan Sun Valley Drive, Warsaw Road Connectivity

The city will hold a public meeting about the project, Wednesday, May 8.

Roswell's Department of Transportation wants your input on a project to potentially connect Sun Valley Drive and Warsaw Road, Wednesday, May 8.

The initial phase of the proposed project would connect Sun Valley Drive and Warsaw Road, as well as add improvements to the intersection of Highway 9/Alpharetta Highway and Sun Valley Drive. The goal is to improve traffic operations and traffic connectivity along Alpharetta Highway and Mansell Road. But the city also hopes a side effect will be improved economic development for the surrounding area.Β

Proposed improvements include widening and extending Sun Valley Drive as a two-lane roadway to connect with Warsaw Road. Other proposed improvements include bike lanes, a 10-foot multi-use trail, sidewalk, pedestrian crossings and intersection improvements. The section of Sun Valley Drive being eyed for improvements currently is part of the "Roswell Loop," a system of multi-use paths and bicycle facilities connecting the city of Roswell.
