Holcomb Bridge Road Corridor Study Kicks Off

The city has scheduled a public information open house.

Roswell's transportation department will hold the first of three public information open houses on the Holcomb Bridge Road Corridor Study next week.

The study area extends along Holcomb Bridge Road (State Route 140) from Warsaw Road to Holcomb Woods Parkway and includes the interchange with State Route 400. It will build upon the Imagine Roswell 2030 Comprehensive Plan and the Big Creek Bridge Road Study, which was completed in 2010.

The HBR Corridor Study will focus on addressing traffic congestion, tying land use and transportation together, as well as aesthetic improvements. It will also develop transportation improvement concepts and both interchange beautification and streetscape concepts.

City staff will present the study’s vision and goals, preliminary short-term transportation improvement concepts and initial aesthetic concepts to residents. The goal of the study is to generate consensus on improvement projects, which may be implemented in both the short-term and long-term.

Local residents are encouraged to attend any one of the public meetings. Those who are unable to attend a meeting may go online for further information and to take the input survey.
