Houze/Hembree Roundabout Meeting is Tuesday

Roswell DOT staff will be at Hembree Park to provide information and answer questions.

An informational meeting on the proposed roundabout at Houze Road and Hembree Road will take place on Tuesday.

The meeting is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hembree Park, 850 Hembree Road.

Included in the presentation by the Roswell Department of Transportation will be plans for a sidewalk and multi-use trail on Houze Road, from Hembree Road to Saddle Creek Drive/Rounsaville Road.

Existing roundabouts in Roswell include one near City Hall, and another on Grimes Bridge Road.

In 2011, resident Marilyn Baron blogged on Roswell Patch about her experiences using the Grimes Bridge roundabout shortly before its completion, and that generated plenty of comments from her fellow residents.

Also on Tuesday, the Roswell Design Review Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. The board will elect officers and review and comment on the Unified Development Code (see attached agenda PDF).

Two other city meetings scheduled for Tuesday have been postponed.

  • The Roswell Downtown Development Authority meeting has been rescheduled for Friday at 8:30 a.m. in Room 220 of City Hall.
  • The Roswell Cultural Arts Board meeting will take place on Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m., also  in Room 220 of City Hall.
