Infamil Newborn Formula Pulled from Walmart Shelves
The formula is being tested after newborn Missouri boy died from a bacterial infection.
Walmart is using extreme caution and pulling 12.5-ounce cans of Enfamil Newborn powder with the lot number ZP1K7G from the shelves of its U.S. stores after a Missouri boy died from what preliminary tests indicate was a rare bacterial infection, according to a report by The Associated Press.
The 10-day-old boy had been fed the formula before he died and samples of the formula he was given have been sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for testing, according to the report.
Walmart has said they may restock the batch of formula, depending upon the results of the investigation. There is one in Roswell at 970 Mansell Road.
