Georgia State Senator John Albers of Roswell has received an A+ on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce's 2014 legislative scorecard.
The scorecard recognizes legislators that "supported pro-business initiatives" during the 2014 legislative session, according to a news release from the Georgia Senate's press office.
This year marks the third year in a row the Republican lawmaker has received an A+ rating from the chamber.
“It is an honor to be awarded an A+ rating from the Georgia chamber,” Sen. Albers said. “Public policy that supports economic growth and development is critical to strengthening Georgia’s business community and promoting job creation statewide.”
Initiatives enhancing Georgia's competitiveness through economic development, legal reform, business and industry, environment and energy and education were designated as scorecard issues by the chamber's Government Affairs Council prior to the start of the 2014 legislative session.
Each legislator’s grade reflects an assessment of his or her support for pro-business legislation and the business community.
