Partial Intersection Closure at Norcross and Grimes Bridge

The west side of the intersection at Norcross and Grimes Bridge roads will be closed May 11-12.

The city of Roswell will close the west side of the Norcross and Grimes Bridge roads on Wednesday and Thursday, May 11-12.

The Roswell Transportation Department reports that the road needs to be closed for safety as construction crews lower Norcross Road 2.5 feet. The closure will also expedite construction of the project.

Traffic moving north and south can continue along Grimes Bridge Road through the intersection. Traffic moving east and west must use the detour roads of Delmont Terrace, Rocky Creek Drive and Maxwell Road. Motorists can also avoid the area by using Alpharetta Highway and Holcomb Bridge Road.

Travelers in the area can expect delays, according to the city's communication department.

When the intersection reopens the traffic pattern will change to the roundabout.  However, construction will not be complete. The traffic signal will be disabled and will no longer control the intersection. Please exercise extreme caution traveling through the construction site, especially at night.
