Roswell Advance Voting Starts Oct. 14

The deadline to register in the November municipal elections is Monday.

If you haven't registered to vote in the Nov. 5 Roswell city elections, the deadline to do so is next Monday, Oct. 7. 

If you'd like to vote early, you can do so starting Oct. 14.

To register, contact the Fulton County Voter Registration Office at 404-730-7072 or visit its website. Mail-in voter registration forms can be obtained at the front desk of Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street.

City Hall also will be the venue for advance voting from Oct. 14 to Nov. 1. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p..m Monday through Friday in Room 220.

Mayor Jere Wood is running unopposed, while three council members have opposition.

Post 4 incumbent Kent Igleheart is being challenged by Roswell Planning Commission chairman Harvey Smith; Post 5 incumbent Jerry Orlans is facing Eric Schumacher; and Post 6 incumbent Nancy Diamond is opposed by Kendra Myers Cox. 

All candidates have been invited to forums later this month sponsored by the Roswell Woman's Club and RoswellNEXT.
