Roswell City Employee Named 'Commuter Champion'

Diane Taylor was recognized by the Clean Air Campaign Thursday, April 5.

Diane Taylor, the city of Roswell's HRIS Manager, was recognized by the Clean Air Campaign for reaching the 25,000 Commuter Champion Milestone.

She reached this milestone in December by logging her clean commute trips on the logyourcommute.org site. By choosing a commute alternative, such as carpooling and compressed work weeks, instead of driving alone into work, Diane has made a positive impact on both the environment and her wallet.

  • She's removed 2073 Vehicle Miles from Georgia roadways;
  • She's preventing 1.04 tons of pollution from being emitted into the air we breathe
  • She's reduced 1.26 tons of CO2 Emissions
  • She's save $1,036 on vehicle fuel and maintenance costs.

Clean Air Campaign representatives, Sadler Croft and Allie Giel, along with City Administrator Kay Love and Deputy City Administrator Michael Fischer, surprised Taylor during a work meeting with her award.

The city is a long-time partner with the Clean Air Campaign.
