While the nation watches the presidential election closely Nov. 6, Roswell residents will also have their eye on a few more local issues.

The bond referendum on Tuesday's general election ballot has drawn out both proponents and opponents. It will ask voters to decide whether or not a $14.7 million bond should be taken out to finance "traffic mitigation," "park facilities" and a "fire station," among other things. The bond has been said to not affect the city's millage rate, since, if approved, it will replace current bonds about to be paid off.

Locally, focus will also be on the District 56 state senate race in which Akhtar Sadiq has challenged State Sen. John Albers, the Republican incumbent.
