Roswell Government Offices on Delayed Opening Wednesday

City Hall doors open at 10 a.m.; a special work session on the Unified Development Code is cancelled.

After closing early on Tuesday because of the winter storm, Roswell government offices will have a delayed opening on Wednesday.

The city sent out word around 10:30 Tuesday night that City Hall will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The City Council's Community Development and Transportation Committee, which was to have met at 8 a.m., will meet at 10 a.m. in Room 220 at City Hall.

A special called work session of the Mayor & Council on the proposed Unified Development Code has been cancelled.

A post on the city's Facebook page early Tuesday night indicated that some non-essential staffers were stuck at City Hall all night, and one "was able to stop at a store to pick up a few items before having to turn around, and he picked up some DVDs so that he could have a movie night with his colleagues!"

The Roswell Police Department said Tuesday it was responding only to accidents with injuries and listed some road closings due to ice and snow.

Late Tuesday night the Roswell 911 Center reported that Roswell DOT was in the process of sanding major roads and crews "are working as fast as the conditions allow."

Further updates will be posted on the City’s website at www.roswellgov.com and via www.Facebook.com/CityofRoswellGA and on Twitter: @CityofRoswellGA.

Fulton County schools will be closed on Wednesday
