Roswell Leaders To Discuss City Green Project

The proposed City Green Project would enhance pedestrian connectivity between communities, among other highlights.

The Roswell City Council on Monday will come together with the Downtown Development Authority to discuss a proposed City Green Project during its work session tonight.

The work session starts at 6 p.m. May 19 at Roswell City Hall. 

The proposed project, described by the DDA as an "economic catalytic project," is designed to spur growth in the city's historic corridor.

It would enhance pedestrian connectivity between communities in the downtown area, stimulate reinvestment in the surrounding area, create a center gathering space for residents and serve as a "catalyst" to connect the Canton Street area with the historic square and Roswell Mill. 

The council is slated to into executive session to discuss litigation, personnel and real estate.
