Roswell Releases Holiday Sanitation Schedule

And don't forget Keep Roswell Beautiful's tree recycling event on Jan. 4.

As Christmas and New Year’s Day approach, the City of Roswell wants residents to be aware of changes to their usual pick-up days for garbage, recycling and yard waste collection.

Wednesday, December 25, 2013—Christmas Day:

  • Thursday, December 26, 2013, for Wednesday customers.
  • Friday, December 27, 2013, for Thursday customers.
  • Saturday, December 28, 2013, for Friday customers.

 

Wednesday, January 1, 2014—New Year’s Day:

Roswell Recycling Center closed.

Garbage, recycling and yard waste collection moved to:

  • Thursday, January 2, 2014, for Wednesday customers.
  • Friday, January 3, 2014, for Thursday customers.
  • Saturday, January 4, 2014, for Friday customers.

 

For those wondering what to do with cut Christmas trees after the holiday, Keep Roswell Beautiful is hosting the “Bring One for the Chipper” tree recycling event on January 4, 2014. Residents are invited to bring their trees to one of the two Home Depot locations in Roswell on Saturday, January 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

  • Home Depot, Holcomb Bridge Road (Holcomb Woods Shopping Center)
  • Home Depot, 870 Woodstock Road (across from Publix)


Trees will be chipped into mulch and will be available for delivery to the public by Davey Tree.

Residents are asked to please not drop off trees prior to the 4th of January.
