Roswell To Consider Awarding Resurfacing Contract

The city will consider awarding a contract to Blount Construction Company for its 2014 resurfacing projects.

The Roswell City Council tonight is expected to consider approving a contract with an area company to perform the city's resurfacing projects.

The council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Roswell City Hall. Before its regular meeting, the council will hold its work session at 5:30 p.m. to continue work on its fiscal year 2015 budget. 

Council members are expected to award the contract with Blount Construction Company in the amount of $1.06 million. 

Roswell leaders will also consider transferring $78,000 to the Roswell Convention & Visitors Bureau for the contract with North Star Destination Strategies, Inc. for the branding initiative; accepting right-of-way agreements for the new bus shelter at 1080 Holcomb Bridge Road, Eves Road complete street project and the Old Alabama at Old Alabama Connector turn lane project; and authorizing the mayor and/or city manager to sign a contract with Water Tower Partners for consulting services to develop a sponsorship program in an amount not to exceed $39,000.
