Roswell to Host Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday

The annual ceremony is a way for locals to honor veterans, before heading to summer kickoff parties.

Once again, local residents will come together for the "Roswell Remembers" Memorial Day celebration tomorrow, Monday, May 28.

The celebration begins at 10 a.m. at Faces of War Memorial in front of city hall. An annual event, the celebration honors the courageous men and women of the U.S. military.

The event is the largest of its kind in North Georgia.

The 2012 program includes the following, according to the event website:

  • 10 a.m. Displays Open to the Public
  • 10:15 a.m. Pre-Ceremony Music - Atlanta Wind Symphony; Chattahoochee Celtic Pipes and Drums
  • 11 a.m. Ceremony Begins - 2012 Featured Speaker, Major General David R. Bockel, Retired
  • 12:30 p.m. Conclusion of Military Program
  • 12:45 p.m. Food Tent Opens and Concert on the Lawn - Banks & Shane
