Roswell To Use State Funds for Resurfacing Projects

The city will use state funding to resurface Old Alabama, Old Mountain Park and Old Roswell roads.

Roswell could soon move forward with resurfacing three of its streets.

The Roswell City Council on Monday approved accepting Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant, or LMIG, funds to resurface Old Alabama Road, Old Mountain Park Road and Old Roswell Road.

The total amount the city will receive is $626,995.26.

The council also approved an agreement with Fulton County Elections and Voter Registration to conduct the city's special election for municipal court judge on Tuesday, May 20; a contract with Chattahoochee Outfitters, LLC to provide recreational and concessions services at Don White and Azalea parks; and a Residential Traffic Control Enhancement Policy.

The policy streamlines the process residents and/or homeowners associations must take in an effort to crack down on speeding and to address pedestrian and bicycle safety concerns.
