Roswell Traffic Study Approved By North Fulton Community Improvement District

CID board votes to partner with city of Roswell in $56,000 traffic study of Sun Valley area.

As a follow up to Roswell's with the North Fulton Community Improvement District (CID) during its meeting Monday night, the CID also agreed to fund half of a traffic study that could greatly expand connectivity in the Sun Valley and Warsaw roads area.

The $56,000 study by URS will take approximately four months. The area being researched is located west of Ga. 400 and north of Holcomb Bridge Road. It is adjacent to the CID and near a major UPS facility.

“Should these projects move forward to construction, the connectivity will create a clear benefit for commercial property owners in the area, and to properties within the existing CID,” said CID Board Chairman Kerry Armstrong.

The unanimous vote by the CID board followed a unanimous vote on Monday night by the Roswell City Council. The city and CID will pay $28,000 each for the traffic study.

“We are excited about the project and see a lot of synergies with the CID,” said Roswell City Councilmember Rich Dippolito at the CID board meeting.
