Roswell Transportation Department Staff Receive Two Awards

Two board appointments were also made by the Georgia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).

The Georgia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) have recognized Roswell Department of Transportation staff members with two awards and two board appointments for 2013.

The Georgia Section of ITE awarded Deputy Director David Low, P.E., P.T.O.E., the Karl Bevins Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes individuals who display the competence, professionalism and dedication exemplified by the award’s namesake, the first Traffic Operations Engineer in Georgia.

Two Roswell DOT staff members were also appointed to the Georgia Section of ITE 2013 board. Transportation Planner III Andrew Antweiler, P.E., will serve as secretary/treasurer and Deputy Director Low will serve as one of three district representatives.

The American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) recognized Senior Transportation Engineer Robert Dell-Ross with the President’s Award, which is presented at the discretion of the ASHE president to an individual who has made significant contributions to the local ASHE chapter.
