Roswell's Congressman Addresses Forsyth County Healthcare Association

Roswell's Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) will be in Cumming Wednesday to talk about an issue he knows well and is passionate about–healthcare reform.

Republican Congressman Tom Price, M.D. of Roswell, who represents Georgia's Sixth District, an outspoken advocate for patient-centered healthcare reform, will address the physicians and medical professionals with the Healthcare Association of Forsyth County.

For the past three years healthcare reform has been a hot issue on Capitol Hill and across the United States, and Rep. Price has been on the battle field of the debate.

Rep. Price states on his Web site, "In Congress, I have introduced a plan to make health care affordable and accessible for every American. It also puts doctors and patients back in control of health care decisions.

It does not put Washington in control. Instead, it alters incentives to contain costs and ensures it makes financial sense for all Americans to be insured. By restoring the power of patient choice, we can return the system to one that is responsive, innovative, and of the highest quality."

Rep. Price will talk about the healthcare legislation that led to the creation of the "Affordable Care Act" (ACT). It is believed that ACT will have a potentially dramatic impact on millions of patients and physicians in the country.
