Spring K Race Will Impact Roswell Traffic

Motorists should be prepared to find alternate routes for King, Kent, Etris and Hardscrabble roads on Saturday morning.

Historic Roswell Kiwanis Club's Spring K Classic on Saturday, April 19 will cause traffic delays on some city streets.

Residents who've made King, Kent, Etris, and Hardscrabble roads part of their Saturday morning commutes should be prepared to find an alternate route.

The route begins at Sweet Apple Elementary School. Runners will turn left out of the school entrance, proceed westbound on Hardscrabble Road, northbound on Chaffin Road, northbound on King Road, eastbound on Kent Road, then southbound on Etris Road to the school. Runners stay in the inside lane (lane furthest from the school).

The city has outlined how the morning traffic pattern should flow during the race:

  • King Road: Northbound traffic on King Road will have to turn right onto Chaffin Road while runners are present.
  • Kent Road: Closed while runners are present.
  • Etris Road: Southbound Etris Road will be closed while runners are present.
  • Hardscrabble Road: Southbound Hardscrabble Road will be closed while runners are present.

The race should finish between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m., depending on the speed of the walking participants.
