Streetscape Construction Begins in Roswell

Oak Street is currently undergoing a facelift.

Roswell's department of transportation has begun construction of the Oak Street streetscape near the city's historic district.

CP Richards Construction is overseeing the $187,651.50 project, which will add five foot brick paver sidewalks on the north side of Oak Street and a multiuse trail on the south side. The city warns that travelers along Atlanta and Oak streets may experience delays in the area while flagman control some lane closures and through movements. Still, they say, both streets will still be accessible.

The updated streetscape work began on Thursday, June 22 and is scheduled to take approximately 120 days, weather permitting.
