Roswell's New Appleton Learning Caters Teaching to Specific Personalities

The new Roswell learning center will hold its grand opening Jan. 19.

Parents and students in Roswell and East Cobb have a new academic resource - Appleton Learning.

Appleton Learning, an education support organization, provides individualized academic coaching or tutoring and test preparation for ACT, SAT, PSAT, and ISEE.

“Appleton Learning brings a fresh and modern approach to the learning environment that focuses on 21st Century learners and their unique needs,” said Glenn Clayton, President and CEO of Appleton Learning. “Our branches feature a modern design with telepresence technology, iPads, and truly individualized learning plans that are tailored to the child’s school curriculum so parents and students can see real results,” Clayton adds.

Parents and students will find a complete roster of academic services including K-12 academic coaching/tutoring, test preparation, online homework help, summer camps featuring topics like Robotics and Creativity and workshops throughout the year.

“Appleton is for the parents who want to give their child the best opportunity to reach above average academic goals,” said Jim Lawlor, Market Director. “We help struggling students regain confidence to tackle academic challenges, and we help students who are doing well excel.”

One of the most unique attributes of Appleton is its proprietary assessment, geniuStyle™, that measures a student’s personality traits to identify the particular student’s learning style. Research shows that personality type can predict academic success.

“Taking this research into consideration, Appleton’s geniuStyle assessment helps our team produce results that tutors or instructors who ignore student personality and learning style cannot match,” Lawlor adds. “geniuStyle provides valuable insights into who a student is and how he or she best learns new material. This information allows our team to effectively build rapport with students and deliver instruction that appeals to each individual learner.”

Schools in the area can also benefit from Appleton’s presence in the community. Appleton@School™ is a turn-key solution for in-school or after-school intervention that utilizes proven methods for improving academic achievement.

“Our fun and engaging Project Based Learning curriculum helps to improve student achievement levels and student motivation,” said Lawlor. “Our programs are fully managed and staffed by Appleton personnel – ensuring an easy and hassle free implementation.”

Some popular Appleton@School programs include integrated ACT or SAT test prep, intervention for at-risk students, and standardized testing improvements. Appleton’s popular geniuStyle is also available for school wide implementation with professional development for teachers and resources for each stakeholder in a child’s education – student, parent, and teacher.
