Atlanta Academy Girls Soccer Teams Champions of the MAAC League
The private school in Roswell is celebrating a recent championship victory over The Atlanta Girls School.
The Atlanta Academy girls soccer team, coached by Stephen Moore, recently won the Division II Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference Championship.
The girls soccer team - consisting of fifth through eighth graders - beat Torah Day School 2-0 in overtime to make it to the championship game, where they played The Atlanta Girls School. The team won the championship game, 2-1. Both goals were scored by 5th grader, Julia Horras of Alpharetta. The team goalie, 6th Grader Alejandra Gleason, was also instrumental in the win.Â
