Blessed Trinity Drops Season Opener to Buford

Titans open high school football season with loss.

The Blessed Trinity Titans opened their 2011 football season by hosting the Buford Wolves on Friday.

The Wolves came into the Titans stadium playing just like the team they are: the kind that has won four consecutive GHSA Class AA state championships in football. And in the end, Buford went home with a 42-0 victory over Blessed Trinity.

Blessed Trinity could provide no answer for Buford's potent offense which scored four times via the run, once passing and once on an interception return.

Late in the second quarter, the game was halted for approximately 45 minutes due to lightning.

Blessed Trinity's next game will be on Friday, August 26th against Benedictine Military School.
