Melinda Springman of Elkins Pointe Middle School in Roswell has been named the Fulton school district's 2013-14 Principal of the Year.
“I am so thankful for the recognition of our hard work at Elkins Pointe Middle School,” Springman said in a press release from Fulton County Schools. "I am blessed to work with a team of passionate, focused educators both within my school and throughout the Fulton County Schools district. It is an exciting time to be a principal, and I look forward to the opportunities that are coming our way.
Principals were asked to nominate a peer for the honor. Four finalists were chosen – Springman, Joy Schroerlucke of Holcomb Bridge Middle School, Ivy Freeman of Dunwoody Springs Elementary School and Carlene Millen of Palmetto Elementary School (South Learning Community).Find out what's happening in Roswellwith free, real-time updates from Patch.
