Elkins Pointe's Springman Named Principal of Year

Melinda Springman of Elkins Pointe Middle School in Roswell has been named the Fulton school district's 2013-14 Principal of the Year.

“I am so thankful for the recognition of our hard work at Elkins Pointe Middle School,” Springman said in a press release from Fulton County Schools. "I am blessed to work with a team of passionate, focused educators both within my school and throughout the Fulton County Schools district. It is an exciting time to be a principal, and I look forward to the opportunities that are coming our way. 

Principals were asked to nominate a peer for the honor. Four finalists were chosen – Springman, Joy Schroerlucke of Holcomb Bridge Middle School, Ivy Freeman of Dunwoody Springs Elementary School and Carlene Millen of Palmetto Elementary School (South Learning Community).
