"GO NATIVE” Landscaping with Native Plants - Plant Sale Presentation on Thursday, October 4 from

3 -5pm.  This workshop is included with
general admission but advance registration is required due to limited spaces, call 770-992-2055 x 253.  Join
Horticulturalist Lisa Cole for a presentation of beautiful and reliable native plants to add to your yard.  This presentation will highlight excellent native choices which are available at our Fall Native Plant Sale and includes a walking tour of mature plants in the gardens of CNC.  Participants also have access to the Members Only Preview Sale following the presentation on Thursday evening from 5-7pm.

Lisa Cole, Horticulturalist for the Nature Center states: “Fall is the ideal time to plant new trees and shrubs and
perennials to ensure healthy and abundant root systems by springtime.  During the dormant winter season they have
plenty of time to establish substantial root systems before the spring flush of growth.  Strong root systems insure they will survive our hot and frequently dry Atlanta summers without as much supplemental water.”  Native plants
also do well for our environment in other ways.  Because they are adapted to our climate, they establish readily in the garden, are easy to care for, and rarely exhibit pest or disease problems.  From full sun to full shade, there
are many native plants suited to different garden situations, and a wide variety will be available at the Fall Native Plant Sale.  Stop by and see what unique native plants we have in stock to beautify your landscape and
attract native wildlife to your gardens!

We have a unique plant selection not found at your local nursery!
