Fellowship Girls Soccer Moves On to State Finals

The girls soccer team will play First Presbyterian Day School, Saturday, May 19 at 6 p.m.

Fellowship Christian School Paladins girls soccer team advance to the state finals after defeating Pace Academy Wednesday night in overtime.

When regulation time of the game ended in a score of 1-1, that game went to overtime and ended with no further score. A penalty kick shootout crowned the Paladins the victors, 3-1.

"There were plenty of cards handed out on both sides but most noticeably was the red card given to the FCS goalie with four minutes left in regulation after a close play," said team photographer, Lisa Webb. "FCS went on to stop three of the Pace penalty kicks with our back up goalie, Emily Sonnett. It was a very intense game to say the least."
