FSA Community Breakfast Joins Students, Businesses

Fulton Sunshine Academy hosted second annual community breakfast on Thursday.

Fulton Sunshine Academy (FSA) hosted its 2nd Annual Community Breakfast on Thursday, Dec. 1, bringing together over 50 local businesses, FSA board members, parents and students in the name of community support.

FSA Public Relations Director Katherine Dion helped organize the event.

“Lots of businesses, like the , will do school sponsor days at their restaurant and give us a percentage,” Dion said. “This breakfast first came about because the community here is just so supportive of us that we wanted to do something for them.”

Local collaborators Sam’s Club, Costco and provided the meal while local business leaders listened to presentations about FSA schools. FSA announced that they will be breaking ground on a new 44-acre campus in Alpharetta which will eventually house their growing middle and high schools. Altogether, FSA’s three campuses make up over 1,300 families.

Along with the community breakfast, FSA also hosts a yearly International Heritage Festival and participates in a variety community events, such as Hunger Walk and Pennies for Patients.
