Fulton Schools Looking at Buzzer Security System

The Fulton County Board of Education is expected to vote next week on a contract to install locked door buzzer security systems in all schools.

At a board work session Tuesday, the board reviewed details of the proposed contract, which calls for spending $426,765 of eSPLOST funds.

The contract, which is on next Tuesday's board business meeting agenda, would be awarded to Kratos Public Safety & Security Solutions Inc.

“The conversation around school safety has intensified over the past year and we looked at how we could improve and make our schools safer,” Fulton Superintendent Robert Avossa said in a statement. “With their video and audio monitoring capabilities, these access systems will give our schools an added layer of security.”
