Financial aid specialist will go over financial aid information in depth.

If you're a parent, high school student, or continuing education adult and plan on enrolling in college classes during the 2012-2013 school year, line-by-line tutorial on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will most likely be useful.

The FAFSA Workshop will be held next Monday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.

Financial Aid outreach specialists will go over the 2012-2013 FAFSA line-by-line. It's a workshop that is designed to provide an in depth understanding of the financial aid application, what it entails and the information required to complete your FAFSA. Β Β

The following items are needed to fill out the FAFSA:

  • Social Security Number, be sure it is correct!
  • Records of Income, such as income earned from work and business, child support paid or received and any other untaxed income. If available, refer to the W-2 Forms and the Federal Income Tax Return IRS 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ.
  • Information about Assets, such as savings, certificates of deposit, stock options, bonds, 529 and other college savings programs, investment real estate, business and farm.
  • Driver’s License Number, if the student has one.
  • Alien Registration Number, if not a U.S. citizen.
