Mimosa to Host a Summer Transition Program

Registration beings Monday, May 13. The program begins June 3.

Registration will be held May 13-16 for a six-week Summer Transition Program offered to incoming kindergartners who either did not attend a Georgia pre-kindergarten or Head Start, or attended pre-kindergarten but need additional support to be ready for school in the fall.

Fulton County Schools' summer transition program is being provided through a grant from Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.

The program is occurring throughout Georgia, but in Roswell, classes will be hosted for students at Mimosa Elementary School.

The program begins June 3, and will include a high quality instructional program, transportation and meals. Children whose families are eligible for Child and Parent Services (CAPS), which is administered by the Department of Early Care and Learning, are the target audience for the summer transition program.
