Northwood Repeats as Fulton Reading Bowl Champion

The Roswell elementary school topped 10 other competitors.

Cheryl Corrigan, a media and educational technology instructor at Northwood Elementary School, passes along some most excellent news about a team she coaches:

Northwood Elementary School in Roswell won Fulton County’s Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Competition held recently. It was the second victory in a row for Northwood’s team!

Students read from a list of 14 nominated books and then studied and discussed them in depth.

The quiz bowl competition format pitted 11 of Fulton’s elementary schools against each other in a round robin format, one on one. Just like last year, Northwood’s team secured the top spot by a margin of one correct question.
