River Eves Hosts Ice Cream Social for New Students

Rising Kindergartners and new students will get the chance to meet other students during the school's ice cream social on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Chill out the nerves of your rising Kindergarten or new school student with some ice cream at the River Eves Elementary ice cream social on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Starting school can be stressful on anyone. So the special meet-and-greet event is perfect for students to get to know one another, while parents and families talk to PTA leaders, school administrators and teachers, including Principal Neil Pinnock, to ask questions about the school and forge new relationships.

“Our annual new student and Kindergarten ice cream social is a lot of fun—and a way to get a head start on school for the parents of our rising Kindergarten and new students,” said Pinnock. “Our PTA and staff are excited to meet our newest Eagles and their families. This is a fun activity that also helps our students transition to a new school. We encourage all new students and their families to attend.”
