The Roswell Hornets baseball team scored in every inning except the third on their way to posting a 10-1 win over the visiting Alpharetta Raiders on Tuesday.
Roswell's starting pitcher Matt Simpson went the distance for a complete game win, giving up only one run on five hits.
After scoring one run in their half of the first inning, Roswell picked up an additional five runs in the second, led by RBI singles off of the bats of Andrew Chester and Chad Woodhead. Alpharetta scored its only run in the third inning.

Alpharetta's starting pitcher Taylor Hall was relieved in the fifth inning by McCauley Bryant, who in turn was relieved by Austin Holtzer in the sixth. Alpharetta pitching gave up a total of ten runs on ten hits.
The win puts the Roswell Hornets at 7-6 on the season and 2-1 in region 6AAAAA. Alpharetta is now at 8-6 overall and 2-1 in region 6AAAAA.

Both teams are in action again on Thursday with home games against region foes. Roswell takes on Milton, while Alpharetta plays North Forsyth.
