Roswell HS Girls Tennis Become Region Champions
The varsity girls team beat Centennial High School last night to end the season.
The girls varsity tennis team are the Region 6 AAAAA champions this season.
Having played their last official match against Centennial High School on Thursday, the girls made school history becoming region champions. A 17-0 season was accomplished under the direction of Coach Derek Shackelford and assistant coaching from Sam Maropis.
The senior captains Sammi Lantz and McKinsey Fiveash kept the team fired up and having fun out on the court. First time team member, also a senior, Diana Sas from Romania, impressed everyone, including those she played matches against. Her power shots and lightening serve made her a tremendous asset to the team.

The other starters are Laura Patterson, a sophomore, Summer Ralston, a junior, McKinsey Fiveash, a senior, Madison Gulick, a freshman, Diana Sas, a senior, Sammi Taylor, a freshman and Anmol Narang, a freshman. It's a young, but talented line up.
