Roswell JROTC Celebrate with Military Ball

Roswell's Congressman Tom Price will be the evening's guest speaker on Feb. 25.

Students, parents, guests and school leaders from , North Springs Charter High School and other Fulton County Schools will celebrate the heritage of the Army Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps program at the Marriott Hotel in Alpharetta, on Saturday, February 25.

The Military Ball, which will feature Roswell's Congressman Tom Price as the guest speaker, is planned and executed by students enrolled in the Junior ROTC leadership development program. The ball provides a unique opportunity to develop organizational, communications and social skills in a formal setting. The importance of historic traditions of the military ball will be reinforced with key activities that include a receiving line where Junior ROTC cadets personally greet each attendee entering the ballroom, a punchbowl ceremony and the giving of toasts.

In addition, the traditional cake cutting ceremony will take place with the most senior and junior students from each school making the first cut with a ceremonial saber. The evening, which begins at 6:30 p.m., culminates with the graduating seniors being honored with a Saber Arch.
